What should families to expect during their cohort?
- Each cohort is designed to foster a love for learning with peers. We focus on collaboration, projects, science, social studies, and fun!
- Every class has 12 students or less. Students get excited to see one another each week and to work with one another.
- Each cohort consists of greeting one another, sharing exciting news, playing games, learning science/social studies mini lessons, and engaging in various learning stations. During stations, students are in groups of 2-3 students working on creating a product, building a design, STEM, playing games, listening to stories, etc.
- Some things we have done in class in the past, include building a 3D map of Lowell after walking around the community, hosting a holiday market for parents where students created their own businesses and goods, publishing our own book, and hatching chickens in our classroom as we learned about life cycles!
